How We Make Money

Proven Research Group is funded primarily through affiliate commissions. When you click a link on our site and make a purchase from a retailer, we may earn a small commission. This comes at no additional cost to you.

We also participate in advertising programs that may pay us based on impressions or clicks. These relationships do not influence our editorial judgments.

Our Testing Process

Every product we review is purchased at retail price through normal retail channels. We do not accept free products, sponsored placements, or preferential treatment from manufacturers or retailers.

Our testing protocols are standardized and repeatable. For coffee grinders, for example, we run each unit for a minimum of 40 hours across multiple brew methods, measuring particle distribution, consistency, heat generation, and user experience.

Editorial Independence

Our editorial team operates independently from our business team. No advertiser, affiliate partner, or manufacturer has any say in what we write, how we rate products, or which products we choose to review.

We do not publish sponsored content disguised as editorial. Any paid or sponsored material is clearly labeled as such.

Ratings & Rankings

Our ratings are derived from objective testing data and hands-on evaluation by experienced reviewers. We do not inflate ratings or rankings to please advertisers or affiliate partners.

Products are ranked based on performance, value, and suitability for specific use cases. A product that scores highly in one category may not be the best choice for every reader.

Corrections & Updates

We strive for accuracy in every piece we publish. If we discover an error, we correct it promptly and note the change. Product recommendations are regularly revisited as new models enter the market and existing models receive firmware or hardware updates.

Affiliate Partners

We maintain affiliate relationships with major retailers including Amazon, Williams Sonoma, Seattle Coffee Gear, and others. These partnerships help us fund our independent testing but do not influence our recommendations.
